🦢 The White Swan Inn, Dunstable

Nestled in the heart of Dunstable’s historic High Street South, The White Swan Inn combines traditional hospitality with centuries of local history.

Today, The White Swan is a welcoming pub and restaurant known for its friendly atmosphere, quality food, fine wines and relaxed dining experience. Whether you’re meeting friends for a drink, enjoying a family meal or celebrating a special occasion, you’ll find a warm welcome waiting.

Behind its characterful façade lies one of Dunstable’s oldest surviving inns. The building is Grade II listed and can trace its history back to at least the 16th Century, when it was recorded as the New Falcon in 1542. Over the centuries it has been known as The Black Boys, The Swanne and eventually The White Swan, becoming a familiar landmark for generations of Dunstablians.

The site has played an important role in the town’s story, serving travellers, residents and businesses for hundreds of years. Archaeological investigations in the grounds have uncovered evidence of medieval activity, adding another fascinating chapter to its rich heritage.

Today, The White Swan continues to blend history, hospitality and community, offering visitors the chance to enjoy great food and drink in one of Dunstable’s most historic buildings.
