The Froth ’N’ Elbow

183 High Street South, Dunstable, LU6 3SJ

A friendly independent pub on High Street South, The Froth ’N’ Elbow is a much-loved local with a traditional feel, real ales, live sport, home-cooked food and regular community events.

The pub has a long-standing place in Dunstable’s social history. The building is understood to have previously been known as the Waggon / Waggon & Horses, with Bedfordshire Archives recording the Waggon & Horses at 183 High Street South and CAMRA listing “Waggon” as a former name for the Froth ’N’ Elbow.

There is also a lovely musical connection: Dunstable History Society notes that Tony and the Wayfarers Jazz Band once rehearsed at the Wagon and Horses, now the Froth and Elbow.

Today, the Froth ’N’ Elbow remains a relaxed and welcoming pub, known for its traditional L-shaped bar, live sports, quiz nights, friendly atmosphere and proper local character.

Whether you’re popping in for a drink, meeting friends, watching the match or enjoying a meal, it is a great example of a Dunstable pub with both personality and heritage.

Good for:
Real ale • Live sport • Pub food • Quiz nights • Local history • Friendly pub atmosphere
